Treatment diagnosis and aligners: realities and considerations through my learning curve
Passing through the gate from fixed appliances to aligners comes with a lack of knowledge, new realities and often more expectations from a highly digital system. This leads to a pseudo-lay back, forgetting that diagnosis and biomechanics is the key for a successful treatment and that adequate time should be spend for those. Moreover, unfortunately patients monitoring is “transferred” to digitization, with less chair time and less visits. This presentation will try to guide you through my mistakes and learning curve and set some limits, into what is expected and what is the real outcome from an excellent system of “being lazy”, but with responsibility.
