William Wiltshire 

Professor William (Billy) Wiltshire, BChD(Hons.), MDent, MChD(Orth), DSc, FACD, FRCD (Orth) ( Canada)

Billy Wiltshire is Professor and Head of Orthodontics and the Graduate Orthodontic Program Director at the University of Manitoba, Canada, a position he has held for the past 23 years. In addition he is head of the department of Preventive Dental Science Science(incorporating Community Dentistry, Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry. He author and coauthor of over 200 publications published in 6 different languages and has lectured throughout the world. His research interests include orthodontic biomaterials, growth modification and orthopedics in orthodontics, educational research and orthodontic epidemiology. He has been involved in research funding in excess of US$ 1,3 million.

Prof Wiltshire is recipient of many awards and grants and has served as Chair of the Council of Orthodontic Education of the American Association of Orthodontists(AAO), President of the Society of Orthodontic Educators of the AAO and is current chair of the Canadian Council of Graduate Orthodontic Program Directors. He maintains a part-time orthodontic practice in Canada and is a national Canadian horse show jumping judge as well as active equestrian competitor.
