MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear Colleagues,
The Greek Orthodontic Society is planning its 17th International Symposium that will take place between May 7-8, 2022, in the luxurious Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso hotel in Vouliagmeni, Athens, Greece.
This year the Symposium will take place in hybrid form, i.e., both with physical presence in compliance with all applicable health protocols and in virtual form (online) due to the special circumstances imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Aiming to organize a memorable event that will motivate the participants to broaden both their scientific and clinical perspectives, the organizing committee has carefully planned an exciting scientific program, including various orthodontic topics by expert speakers of worldwide renown. In parallel to the Symposium’s main program there will be an e-poster presentation competition.
Additionally, a one-day course presented by Dr. Julia Haubrich on Friday, May 6, 2022, will present to the participants deep in insights on various perspectives of aligner treatment.
The 17th International Symposium of the Greek Orthodontic Society will take place under the auspices of the School of Dentistry of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Department of Orthodontics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Department of Dentistry of the European University of Cyprus.
A commercial exhibition will take place simultaneously for the entire duration of the Symposium demonstrating the latest technological innovations and a wide range of the most modern orthodontic materials and instruments.
The Board of Trustees and the organizing committee would like to thank everyone involved in the preparation of this event and strongly believe that the Symposium’s scientific program will significantly enrich and upgrade the orthodontic knowledge of the participants.
Looking forward to meeting you in Athens.
Sincerely,
Associate Professor Eleftherios G. Kaklamanos
President, Greek Orthodontic Society
